Southeast Asia Customers Visit Mejec | Exploring Underground Wastewater Treatment Plant

Mejec recently welcomed customers from Southeast Asia to its manufacturing base for a closer look at its underground wastewater treatment systems.

The visit focused on the details behind underground STP solutions—from the equipment itself to the manufacturing and assembly processes. Customers also had the opportunity to better understand how the system is designed to integrate wastewater treatment into sites where preserving the surrounding landscape and making efficient use of available space are important considerations.

Looking Beyond the Equipment

For decentralized wastewater projects, treatment technology is only one part of the solution. Installation conditions, available land, site appearance, maintenance access, and long-term operation can all influence the choice of treatment system.

An underground wastewater treatment system can place the treatment equipment below ground while leaving the surface available for other purposes. This makes the approach particularly relevant to applications such as residential developments, resorts, scenic areas, rural communities, and other projects where land use and visual impact need to be considered together.
