What is a Johkasou system?
A Johkasou system is a decentralized sewage treatment unit designed to provide on-site treatment close to the wastewater source. The whole treatment process is integrated into one compact, prefabricated tank, normally installed underground, so it suits residential and small-scale facilities where centralized sewer infrastructure is unavailable.
What is the difference between Johkasou-SA and Johkasou-SB?
Johkasou-SA is the small-capacity line: buried units sized from 1 to 5 m³/d for houses, villas, guesthouses and other small facilities. Johkasou-SB is the large-capacity line: integrated sewage treatment plants from 20 to 100 m³/d based on the AAO + MBBR process for communities, schools, hotels and commercial projects.
What capacity range does the Mejec Johkasou series cover?
The Johkasou series covers decentralized sewage treatment from about 1 m³/d up to 100 m³/d. Small-capacity Johkasou-SA units are sized 1–5 m³/d, and Johkasou-SB integrated plants are available from 20 to 100 m³/d.
Can a Johkasou system be installed underground?
Yes. Johkasou units are designed for buried installation. The surface above can be planted, paved or used as a garden, terrace or walkway, and the sealed underground environment isolates noise and odour.
What type of sewage treatment plant is suitable for a house?
For individual homes, villas and other small residential applications, a small-capacity Johkasou-SA unit may be suitable. The appropriate model depends on daily wastewater flow, installation conditions and the required effluent standard.
Which projects use large-capacity Johkasou systems?
Johkasou-SB integrated plants are suited to residential communities, schools, resorts and hotels, public facilities, highway service areas, rural communities and commercial facilities with higher daily wastewater flows.
What wastewater treatment plant is suitable for rural areas?
Rural areas often benefit from decentralized sewage treatment systems because centralized sewer networks may not be available. Household systems, Johkasou-SA units, Johkasou-SB integrated plants and containerized wastewater treatment plants can all be considered depending on project scale.
Do you offer OEM/private label wastewater treatment systems?
Yes. We support full OEM and ODM customization, including branding, container color and layout, control panel design, process configuration, and technical specifications tailored to your market and local discharge standards.
Can the treatment capacity be customized for my project?
Yes. Our systems are designed to order — from small buried Johkasou units for households to containerized plants of several hundred m³/day and above. Send us your daily flow, water quality data, and effluent target, and our engineers will propose a matching process design.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ is one unit — a single Johkasou system for a pilot project is quoted on the same terms as a container load. Lead time is 15 days, quotes are returned within 24 hours, and units are CE and ISO certified.
Do you ship by container?
Yes. Containerized systems ship as complete units, and other equipment is loaded into 20'GP and 40'HQ containers or flat racks. Our export team handles the full shipping documentation process worldwide.
Do you provide installation and after-sales support?
Yes. Systems arrive pre-assembled and pre-tested to minimize on-site work, and we provide installation drawings, commissioning guidance, remote technical support, and spare parts supply throughout the equipment's service life.
