Staff Accommodation Wastewater Treatment | 4 Mejec Household Sewage Treatment Plants

By administrator on Aug-26-2026

Wastewater treatment is part of the infrastructure at Mejec's own manufacturing base. To manage domestic wastewater from staff accommodation, four Mejec Scavenger household sewage treatment plants have been installed in parallel as one treatment system.

A Combined Solution for Domestic Wastewater

The staff accommodation generates domestic wastewater from everyday activities such as toilets, showers, washing, and other household use. Rather than relying on a centralized sewer connection, the project uses a decentralized treatment system installed directly at the site.

The four Scavenger units are connected and operated in parallel, providing a combined treatment capacity for the accommodation area. Each unit is designed to serve 5–10 people, allowing the overall system capacity to be expanded through a multi-unit configuration.

The equipment is installed above ground, making the system easier to access for operation and maintenance while avoiding extensive underground construction.

Mejec Scavenger | A Compact CASS-Based Treatment System

The Mejec Scavenger Household Sewage Treatment Plant is designed for decentralized domestic wastewater applications.

The system uses the CASS (Cyclic Activated Sludge) process for biological wastewater treatment and features a plug-and-play configuration for simplified installation.

It supports solar + grid power, providing flexibility for different operating conditions. Depending on project requirements and local regulations, treated water can be managed through three options: direct discharge, toilet flushing, or irrigation.

This makes the Scavenger suitable for applications such as villas, holiday homes, resorts, campsites, rural residences, and staff accommodation.

Treated Water Reused for Irrigation

At the Mejec manufacturing base, the treated effluent from the four-unit system is reused for site irrigation.

Instead of leaving the property as wastewater, the treated water is returned to the landscape, reducing the need for additional freshwater for irrigation.

With wastewater treated onsite and the effluent reused within the property, the project achieves zero wastewater discharge.

A Practical Application at Mejec's Manufacturing Base

The four-unit parallel installation demonstrates how multiple household wastewater treatment plants can be combined to serve a shared accommodation area while maintaining the compact and modular characteristics of individual treatment units.

The configuration provides a flexible approach for sites where domestic wastewater needs to be treated onsite and treated water can be reused for irrigation.
